LTC Stephen J. Curry, Brigadier General Retired

Commanding Officer of the 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Brigade
May 1990 to 23 June 1992

        In May 1990 LTC Curry received command of the Battalion from LTC Kenneth Wood at Fort Hood, Texas.

        On 23 June 1992 LTC Curry passed command of the Battalion to LTC Anthony Stamillio.

     COL Curry was serving as the Assistant Commandant of the U.S. Army Military Police School, Fort McClellan, Alabama, when he was recommended by the President for promotion to Brigadier General. He was later promoted and served as the Regimental Commander and school Commandant, 2001-2004.

    On 27 September 2003 BG Curry was honored by the Regiment with the award of The Order of the Marechaussee (gold). BG Curry's career started in 1972, and he retired from active duty in 2004.

    On 2 October 2003 BG Curry presided over the dedication of the Military Police Corps Memorial plaque at Arlington National Cemetery.

     To cap his illustrious career in the Military Police Corps, BG Curry was inducted into the Regimental Hall of Fame.
