   MAJ Longo was assigned as the Battalion Executive officer just prior to assuming command of the Battalion on 28 May 1945.

Obtaining the exact dates of command for several Battalion Commanders from this era have been unsuccessful. This was a time of high-tempo operations in the Philippines resulting in much movement towards the Japanese home islands, and Battalion historical record keeping simply lost its precision.
