     On 27 May 1977 LTC Wollmering assumed command of the Battalion from LTC Jon McFarland.

     The Battalion assets were stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.

     On 10 October 1978 LTC Wollmering passed command of the Battalion to LTC H. L. Hollaway.
