Photo A0272:  “Butch” the six-year old mixed breed mascot of the 720th MP Battalion, Headquarters Service Group on patrol with PFC Buford M. Heiser of Able Company in Tokyo, Occupied Japan in August 1949. Butch was adopted while a puppy by battalion members in the Philippines, and brought to Tokyo in 1945.  Official U.S. Army Photograph.
