MG Harrold presented the checks for first, second, and third place winners in a ceremony held in his office on 23 March 1955. The first, second and third prize winners (in that order) and their company commanders are, right to left PFC James A. Larkias, Company B, 13th Tank Battalion, 1st Armored Division, winner of $50.00, and his commanding officer CPT R. W. Brown; CPL Eugene R. Scanes, Company B, 510th AIB, 4th Armored Division, winner of $25.00 and his company commander CPT Thomas D. Harmon; and CPL John F.
