Photo B0094:   PFCs Lester L. Ferrell (left) and James Kilmerry of Bravo Company, 720th Military Police Battalion, 1st Logistical Command, 4th Army, III Corps take a coffee break on 19 April 1963 just after donating blood at Fort Hood, Texas for 17 year old Fred Wallace of Muskogee, Oklahoma, a hemophilia victim in a Dallas hospital. Ferrell and Kilmurray started a blood drive for Wallace in their company that developed into what may well have been the largest blood drive ever initiated at Fort Hood. Just the battalion volunteers alone donated 500 pints of the final total of 931 pints of blood for Wallace. U.S. Army photo by SSG Greer.
