Iraq Theater

Located approximately nine miles west of central Baghdad adjacent to the Baghdad International Airport. The Palace served as Sadam Hussein’s main residence. The 9.3 square mile compound is also known as Al Qaddissiya, after a 7th century battle in what is now Iraq. The palace grounds was an amusement complex, featuring man-made lakes filled with carps.
