~ 1970 ~
February The 146th MP Platoon is reassigned from the 504th MP Battalion, II Corps Tactical Zone to the III Corps Tactical Zone, 89th MP Group, and the 95th MP Battalion for operational control, the 720th MP Battalion for administrative and logistical support, with assignment in Vung Tau.

        The detachment was also assigned the physical security and VIP escort responsibilities at the United States Army Republic of Vietnam (USARV) Headquarters on Long Binh Post.

        The USARV assignment was under the operational control of the 95th MP Battalion’s, Long Binh Post Special Platoon.
