Nah Trang originally a French Colonial resort city know for its fishing industry is situated on the coast of the South China Sea, in Corps Tactical Zone II. It was a part of the large Cam Rahn Bay Port area harbor and logistics base. It housed logistical depots, U.S. and allied, air and land facilities of all four services. In 1966 the detachment was the Companies northern most.

        The 212th Detachment at Na Trang provided physical security at the 5th Special Forces Group, North Headquarters, to include their, helicopter pad, ammunition depot, and Logistical Supply Compound [LSC], for the local A-Teams.
 
5th
        The A-Teams trained and worked with Army Of The Republic Of South Vietnam [ARVN], and local Mountain Tribesman.
 
1967
 
        It is believed as the area grew in size with the influx of additional U.S. and Allied units, the detachment was ended and the assets returned to the Company.
