Tay Ninh Provence is located north of the "Parrots Beak" area within several miles of the Cambodian border and the safe sanctuary training and staging areas of the North Vietnamese Army. Tay Ninh City was the capital of Tay Ninh Provence, III Corps Military Zone and home to the 24th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning) and numerous other U.S. and Allied infantry, armor, and air support units throughout the Vietnam War. |

August-October The 212th MP Company Detachment at Tay Ninh (West) Base Camp was terminated and the assets, K9’s and handlers were redistributed. |
