"Short Timers Christmas Anxiety"

Christmas 1967, Long Binh Post

        Christmas Eve and Day 1967 was filled with anxiety, I had been in Vietnam for nearly a year and on December 22nd I was given orders to return to the states on December 26th.

        Having mixed feelings about not being with my family for Christmas but knowing that I only needed a few more wake-ups before going home was enough to get past Christmas Day.

        That was one of the best Christmas gifts I have ever received.
