From 1966 through 1972 the 615th MP Company and elements of the 720th MP Battalion were at various times assigned to convoy escorts, military police and security duties in the city of Bien Hoa, separately or jointly.

As a result, the Bien Hoa Detachment histories of the 615th MP Company and 720th MP Battalion have been combined in this detachment section.
