1968
8 October C Company transferred 1 officer, 1LT Herb Bradley, III, and 16 enlisted men from their Phu Loi Detachment to the 1st Infantry Division base camp at DI An to be attached to the Provost Marshal, 1st Infantry Division and aid the 1st MP Company in the mission of combat support.

They were also involved in providing a Traffic Control Point (TCP) along the convoy route and escort convoys to Lai Khe.
In addition the Detachment escorted two daily convoys to the 1st Infantry Division HQ at Lai Khe utilizing 2 gun jeeps and 6 MP's for each run. The Detachment also provided for one daily convoy escort to Quan Loi utilizing 2 gun jeeps and 6 MP's.
19 December The convoy escort mission for the Quan Loi base camp of the 1st Air Cavalry Division was reassigned from the Di An Detachment to the personnel from C Company stationed at Long Binh Post.

1969
President Nixon visits Di An

30 July President Richard M. Nixon and the first lady visited South Vietnam during a tour of South East Asia. The reason for the stop in South Vietnam was to meet with President Nguyen Van Thieu in Saigon to discuss the Vietnamization program.

Before leaving Saigon and continuing on his tour of South East Asia, President Nixon stopped at Di An and addressed the United States soldiers of the Headquarters, 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division base camp.

1971
Di An Detachment Closed

27 January The 720th MP Battalion was reassigned responsibility for discipline, law and order (DLO) at the Di An Base Camp when the 300th MP Company, who were performing the mission was reassigned by the 95th MP Battalion. A total of 15 enlisted men and 4 vehicles were committed from existing Battalion resources.

15 April The Battalion responsibility for discipline, law and order at the Di An Base Camp came to a close when the base reverted to Army of The Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) control under the Vietnamization program.
