Saigon to Long Binh Post and Bien Hoa, the primary escort and transport route between the two cities via Highway 316, the most direct route.

Operations OVERTAKE, RIFLE and SHOTGUN would used the same route starting from either Bien Hoa Air Force Base or Long Binh Post, proceeding south on Highway-1A (316) to the Newport Bridge into Saigon, the Saigon or Newport Military Docks and, Ton San Nhut Air Base during their escort runs.

The check points [CP] were utilized during the Operation OVERTAKE daytime escort operations.
