~ 720th Military Police Battalion Vietnam History Project ~

Photo G0020: 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade River Patrol Unit boat recovered from the Dong Nai River in Bien Hoa Province of III Corps Tactical Zone, Vietnam. The boat was recovered from the bottom of the river by Special Forces divers several days after sinking on 3 November 1967 during a night transport of an A Company Ambush Team. PFC Duane E. Carter, a boat crew member from A Company drowned during the incident. His body was recovered from the river three days later. Courtesy of SP/4 Steven W. Senkovich (LTC Ret.)
