Photo G0569: Smoke rolls from a burning tanker along Highway QL-13 (Thunder Road) north of Lai Khe, III Corps Tactical Zone, Binh Long Province after elements of a the North Vietnamese Army battalion ambushed a Quan Loi convoy on 14 August 1969. Military Police escort vehicles of C Company 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade and the reaction force of the 1st Infantry Division killed 20 of the enemy during the fight.
