"We took two squads out to our TAOR that night and brought a .50 cal with us. We got an intel report that Charlie would sacrifice a battalion of people for a .50 cal. We fired it off and waited for Charlie to attack. I think he was on "leave" that night, because he didn't come after us." Courtesy of SGT James F.
