Photo G0667: Although it was frowned upon by headquarters, the MPs of the outpost on Hill-15 would often use the services of the local fishermen and farmers to assist them in transportation in the early summer of 1969. The Vietnamese were happy to assist the MP patrols whose presence kept away the local Viet Cong tax collection teams who often looted their boats at gun point. The MPs also traded for or purchased ducks, fish and shrimp to supplement their C Ration meals. SP/4 Michael J. "Rizz" Rizzo, with the sunglasses. The outpost, located at the intersection of the Buong and Rach Bien Rivers, was used as a base of operations for the B Company, 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade, ambush and recon teams that worked in the 22 square mile Battalion Tactical Area Of Responsibility, III Corps Tactical Zone, Bien Hoa Provence, Vietnam.
