Photo G0761: During land clearing and construction of the outpost on Hill-15 there was no shelter from the hot sun or elements so the MPs used the galvanized culvert halves and CONEX containers for shade and sleeping quarters in the early summer of 1969. They would eventually become bunker roofs and foundations for their defensive positions. The outpost, located at the intersection of the Buong and Rach Bien Rivers, was used as a base of operations for the B Company, 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade, ambush and recon teams that worked in the 22 square mile Battalion Tactical Area Of Responsibility, III Corps Tactical Zone, Bien Hoa Provence, Vietnam.
