Photo G0930: Generals Row, the center cluster of billets, and to their far right are the Headquarters buildings of the United States Army Republic of Vietnam (USARV) and 1st Logistical Command (1st LOG). From September 1967 through July 1970 the 720th MP Battalion was assigned to Operation STABILIZE a counterinsurgency-pacification mission of their own 22 square mile Tactical Area of Responsibility located to the south of Long Binh Post to deny enemy forces access for direct and indirect attack of the headquarters complex. From 1971 to 1972 the Battalion MP’s also provided on-site security for Generals Row. This photograph was taken during an over flight of Long Binh Post in Bien Hoa Province, Military Region III, South Vietnam sometime in 1971.
