Photo G1126-3: Unidentified members of the Alpha Company, 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade Bearcat Detachment visiting the nearby base of Long Thanh North. Long Thanh (North) was located in Bien Hoa Province, Long Than District, Corps Tactical Zone III several miles south of the Thai & 3rd Brigade, 9th Infantry Division Bearcat base camp on Highway QL-15, several miles south of Long Binh Post. It was home to several U.S. Air Force, Army helicopter, and transportation units. The base supported a 5,000-foot asphalt runway. The Bearcat patrols provided discipline, law and order service to the U.S. units. If you can identify any of these MP's use this Email Link.
