Photo G1941: SP/4 Melbourne R. “Mel” Steinhauer, Jr. and his K9 Heidi, members of the 212th MP Company (Sentry Dog), Scout Dog Unit, 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade at the strong point on Hill-15 in the summer of 1969. Hill-15 was located at the intersection of the Buong and Rach Bien Rivers, and was used as a base of operations for the B Company, 720th MP Battalion ambush and recon squads that worked in the 22 square mile battalion Tactical Area Of Responsibility in Bien Hoa Province, III Corps Tactical Zone, Vietnam.
