Photo G2019: SP/4 Dennis Ferguson with “Pal”, one of the K9's at the 981st MP Company (Sentry Dog) Detachment Kennel, Long Bien Mountain compound Da Lat in Tuyen Duc Province, II Corps Tactical Zone in 1969. I arrived at Long Bien Mountain in January of 1969 as a PFC and moved to Da Lat in September or October as a S/P4. I was assigned to the E Company, 43rd Signal Battalion communications relay station. I was schooled at Fort Monmouth, NJ as a 26L10, Microwave Operator and Repairman but never used my training.
