The Australian MPs were members of the Australian Force Vietnam Provost Unit (AFV PRO) headquartered in Vung Tau and attached on Temporary Duty (TDY) with B Company, 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade, during the Tet New Years Offensive.
