Photo G2890: Snoopy, Sentry Dog of the 212th MP Company (Sentry Dog), 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade, training at the kennels at the company compound on Long Binh Post, Vietnam in 1971. Snoopy had the nick name of "747" or "Airplane ears." His ears were not vertical like the normal German Shepherd. They were horizontal like the wings of a plane. When Snoopy would alert you did not have any problem with recognizing it. His ears would drop down in the back like the flaps on the wings of an airplane and you could see the ear canal from the front.  Courtesy of PFC Robert Litton, 212th MP Company (Sentry Dog), 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade, Vietnam, 1971-1972.
