It was the location of the in-country school where all 212th MP Company Sentry Dog Handlers received their transition training from Sentry Dog to Scout Dog Handlers. The detachment primarily served as an In-Country reception point for certified Army Scout Dog Handlers, and where the teams would receive in-depth orientation from experienced Army trainers prior to shipping to their respective in-country units. Note: The silhouettes of the K9's on the sign indicate a German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever  Courtesy of SGT Lloyd Kahan, Scout Dog Unit, 212th MP Company (Sentry Dog), 720th MP Battalion, 1969-1970.
