Photo G3627: Members of the 116 man 301st National Police Field Forces Company, [NPFF]. Their Headquarters Platoon was temporarily based in the Long Hung Popular Forces & B Company Outpost-2. They are staging during a cordon and search operation of An Xuan and Long Hung Villages in the 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade 22 square mile Tactical Area of Responsibility (TAOR) south of Long Binh Post in Bien Hoa Province of III Corps Tactical Zone, Vietnam on 27 April 1968. Although a part of the uniformed National Police Force, they were a paramilitary light infantry company specially trained in counterinsurgency operations. In the background (left) is the An Xuan Village School House. Beyond the grove of Banana trees to the right is the local Popular Forces Platoon & B Company Outpost-1.
