The facility was officially designated in 1967 as the 74th Field Hospital and staffed by the 50th Medical Detachment (Clearance). Sometime in 1969 the 50th Medical Detachment was detached and in the Battalion S3 Activity Logs the compound was referred to only as the POW Medical Wards, 24th Evacuation Hospital. |

The area outlined in red is the 24th Evacuation POW Medical Wards Compound formerly known as the 74th Field Hospital staffed by the 50th Medical Detachment-Clearance, which was located across from the 24th Evacuation Hospital on Long Binh Post. This photo was taken in June 1969. |
