During his tour Jim worked, Operation Overtake (night) escorts, Convoy Escort, Highway Security Patrol, POW Hospital Guard Detail, and Ambush & Recon.

        Jim departed Vietnam August 1968 and after a 30+ day leave was assigned to Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, NY where he completed his last eight months of active duty service.

        His MP duties covered Fort Hamilton, and Fort Wadsworth, on Staten Island, NY.

        Jim received an Honorable Discharge and attended college under the GI Bill, earning a Bachelors Degree in Accounting (major), with a minor in economics.

        He is a member of the 720th MP Battalion Reunion Association and has attended the past two reunions at Fort Hood, TX and Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
