George arrived the first week, B Company was in the Mekong Delta. The company headquarters was located in Vinh Long . He was sent to the Can Tho Detachment within days of his arrival.

        In Can Tho they lived in the city, and performed normal police patrol in the city, combined police patrol with Quan Canh's and Canh Sat's.

        They also guarded wounded prisoners at 3rd Surgical Hospital, guarded the ferry over the Bassic River, and were the reaction force to about anywhere in town, also providing convoy escorts when needed.

        He was medevaced out due to illness and arrived at Walter Reed Army Hospital about 31 July 1971.

        5 August George was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service.
