SGT William H. Novosad
615th MP Company, 95th MP Battalion
July 1969 to September 1970

        From MP School at Fort Gordon, Georgia, PVT Novosad received orders for Vietnam and assigned to the 615th MP Company, 95th MP Battalion on 17 July 1969.

        SP/4 Novosad was attached TDY to HQ Detachment, 95th MP
Battalion as the Commanding Officers driver from 7 December 1969 to 15 June 1970. During that time, he drove for three different commanders; LTC Robert W. Sweet, LTC Frank W. Richnak, and LTC Richard A. Fitzgerald.

       Bill also had the honor of driving for the Provost Marshal General, MG Karl Gustafson, for nearly a week during his inspection tour of the 18th MP Brigade in February, 1970.

        On 15 June 1970, SGT Novosad was assigned back to the 615th finishing his tour as a Patrol Supervisor and Desk Sergeant. He received an Honorable Discharge and returned home to Gaylord, Minnesota on 17 September 1970.
