SP/4 Perkins served 8 weeks in Okinawa, Japan at Dog Handlers School before being assigned to the 212th Headquarters in Long Binh.

     SP/4 Perkins worked security at the Ammunition Depot on Long Binh Post with his K9 Duke until January 1972. He was then assigned as the detachment Repair & Utility man and took care of building projects and electrical problems around the company area until his tour ended.
