Steve worked as a V-100 crew member; Tay Ninh, Xuan Loc convoys; Operation Overtake; Ambush & Recon.

     After Vietnam he went back to college (University of Oregon), and obtained a Regular Army commission in the Infantry.

     He served two tours in the 82nd Airborne; one with the 1st Ranger Battalion; commanded a rifle company, 24th Infantry Division; spent 3 years on the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and served in several staff positions at the corps level and USAREUR HQS in Germany. Steve retired as a LTC on 1 June 2000 after 27 years, and is now working as a government civilian at U.S. Joint Forces Command, Joint Warfighting
