This website is dedicated to the history of the 720th MP Battalion, however, you may see stories and reflections posted by veteran's of units that are unfamiliar to you. Throughout the Battalions history many units have served under the colors of the 720th.  Their history is also a part of the Battalion's proud history of service to our country in time of peace and war.

Many of the veteran's of this website have been kind enough to devote the time to submit personal stories and reflections of their tours and experiences. Unless you are willing to visit each page of this website, which would take you weeks, many of them would unfortunately be missed.

The stories and reflections come from sources as varied as the Veteran's that submitted them: letters sent to families and loved ones; personal journals; diaries; and many from the Veteran's memory of specific events that occurred years ago. Some are brief, others are lengthily, all are important to the veteran and the history of their unit.  Some lack the details forever lost with the passing of so many years, and others are so detailed that it is as if they had occurred just yesterday.

The Index was designed to provide you with direct access to their stories. I'm sure you will find each of them interesting and well worth the visit.

Please do not let your lack of writing expertise deter you from sending in your story or reflection. Editorial assistance and review is provided.

If you have any personal stories or reflections of your tour that you would like to submit, please use the Email Link at the top of this page to contact the History Project Manager. Your contributions are important to our history and always welcomed.
