1145 Hours, Casualties Tay Ninh Convoy Ambushed At 11:45 AM the 81 vehicle convoy from Long Binh Post to the 25th Infantry Division Base Camp at Tay Ninh was ambushed by an estimated 3 Battalions of North Vietnamese Army (NVA) while passing through a rubber plantation at Ap Nhi on Highway QL-22.

Six Americans were killed, one a C Company MP, SP/4 Guy A. Davison, who was posthumously awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart Medals for his bravery under fire, and one a Sergeant named William W. Seay of the US Army, 62d Transportation Company who received the Medal of Honor, posthumously.

Total Americans wounded in the action numbered 51, of which six were C Company MP's.
