Six Americans were killed, one a C Company MP, SP/4 Guy A. Davison, who was posthumously awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart Medals for his bravery under fire, and one a Sergeant named William W. Seay of the US Army, 62d Transportation Company who received the Medal of Honor, posthumously. Total Americans wounded in the action numbered 51, of which six were C Company MP's. |
