Vinh Long Detachment The 720th MP Battalion Civic Action Council and Vinh Long Detachment members presented a Christmas party to the Good Shepherd Orphanage children during which time food and gifts consisting of clothing, toys and candy were made available for each child. A Christmas pageant was performed by the younger children for the MPs. |

Bob Hope USO Show |

The 720th MP Battalion Reaction Force was formed as support of the Long Binh Post Reaction Force from 0830 hours [8:30AM], until 1830 hours [6:30PM], during the Bob Hope USO Show held on Long Binh Post. There were no incidents requiring the use of the Reaction Force. After the show the members of the USO troupe were invited to the Main officers Club on Long Binh Post for a dinner and dance. Several fortunate enlisted men from the 720th were selected by their units to attend the festivities. Appearing with Bob Hope were, Ursula Andress, Johnny Bench (Cincinnati Reds), Lola Falana, Gloria Loring, Jennifer Hosten (Miss World 1970), Bobbi Martin, The Golddiggers, and The Dingalings. |
