The letter states that the 720th MP Battalion MP’s went far beyond their primary duty requirements, providing the convoys with needed communications support, expert assistance in movement control, effective coordination with air support, and enthusiastic cooperation in other types of support requested of them by the convoy commanders, and did so with a willing cooperation in the conduct of their duties and with utmost professionalism. Mentioned in the letter were, SSG Steffenson, SSG Staats, SGT Devereaux, SGT Stoner, SGT Joiner, SP/4 Lopresti, and SP/4 Owens from C Company; and SSG Hardy, SGT Barbour, SP/4 Baer, SP/4 Armstrong, and SP/4 San Nicholas from A Company.
