The Ugly Duck

          "The Ugly Duck" was named before I arrived in C Company. I was assigned as a gunner on it shortly after arriving in country in March 1971. Within about two months I became the driver, and just about lived in the "Duck".

We had about six or seven V100's and about that many "tracks" [Armored Personnel Carriers]. I preferred the V100's. I believe the "Duck" was #C50.

Almost all of the pictures I have of my tour are of the "Duck", and the places or people we met. Our crew seemed to go on all the unusual trips.
