How To Contribute Photographs or Documents
     If you have photographs or documents you would like to send to the 720th Military Police Battalion Reunion Association History Project for inclusion on this website, please follow these directions. If you have any questions about anything on this page please direct them to the History Project Manager, Tom Watson, by using the contact information provided below. Your contributions to this website and its goals are always welcomed.

     This website will only accept photographs and official documents (rosters, reports, orders, forms, letters, media articles) directly related to the history and activities of the 720th Military Police Battalion and its subordinate or affiliated units from all eras since 1942. Due to the numerous influx of materials to be processed, your strict adherence to these instructions would be greatly appreciated and will result in a quicker turn around time for posting on the web pages.

      All materials accepted are digitized, catalogued, and archived for eventual submission to the Military Police Regimental History Unit currently located at Fort Leonard Wood, MO under the rank, name, unit, and years of service of the contributor.

How to Prepare your Materials
     "Original photographs or documents" will not be accepted though the mail unless you no longer want them. They are to valuable to the veteran, and I can not guarantee their safe return.

Documents: should be digitized or photocopied. If you have a scanner, scan them as large as you can and save as a .jpg.

Photographs: should be digitized or commercially reproduced from the original negative. No computer printed copies will be accepted.

Slides: do not send any slides I do not have the ability to process them.

Scanning: If you do not have a scanner take them to a commercial store that provides scanning and have them reproduced on a disk. Have a duplicate made and mail it.

How to Mail your Materials

Documents: please do not fold them, send in a large 8x10" envelope. When sending a news or magazine clipping, if the information is available, list the name, issue and date of the publication.

Photographs: number each and send with a corresponding list containing as much information on each as you can remember. For all photos include- date taken, location, event being depicted. For all photos of personnel, identify them from left to right, and include - ranks, names and or nicknames, and unit affiliations.

How to Email your Materials

     Attach one (1) document (may include multiple pages) or one (1) photograph (.jpg) to an Email. Type in the text field all the pertinent descriptive information. When sending a news or magazine clipping, if the information is available, list the name, issue and date of the publication.

     Include your current or former rank, full formal name with any middle initials, unit affiliation, years with the unit, your current mailing address and telephone number.

Access and Rights to your Materials

     In sending your materials to the History Project, you agree to allow them to be posted for public view and access to other veterans and visitors to the website with eventual transmission to the Military Police Regimental History Unit.

     All archival materials except those specifically copyrighted   (Copyright Policy)  are available upon request from other veterans and or History Project contributors. For all requests for reproductions, an appropriate donation would be appreciated to cover, printing, packaging and mailing expenses. Please call or Email ahead with any request for copies..

Source Credits: The identification of the contributor and/or photographer, if known, will be included on all photographs and documents displayed on this website.

Quality Of Content: The History Project Manager of the 720th MP Battalion Reunion Association History Project reserves the right to edit and/or deny posting of any photographs, documents, or textual materials that are deemed unsuitable or inappropriate for inclusion to this veterans website. No anonymous submissions will be considered unless accompanied with some form of information or documentation verifying the authenticity of the materials sent.
