Commanding Officer ~ 720th Military Police Battalion, 4th Army
6 February 1964 to 16 June 1965

     On 6 February 1964 LTC Escola received command of the Battalion from LTC Earl B. Milburn at Fort Hood, Texas.

     16 June 1965 LTC Escola passed command of the Battalion to LTC Glen A. Hill at Fort Hood, Texas.

     During his command the Battalion was involved in numerous training maneuvers throughout the central and midwest United States.

     In March 1965 the Battalion participated in Operation Steep Hill III as security for a major civil rights march in Selma-Montgomery, Alabama.

     In April 1965 C Company was redesignated as the 615th MP Company and deployed to Vietnam. Just prior to his reassignment to Washington, D.C., the rest of the Battalion was preparing for deployment to Vietnam.
