LTC Schmitz served as Battalion Commander from 30 July 1970 to 31 January 1971. During his tour as commander the Battalion participated in the Vietnamization of U.S. Military Police responsibilities in III and IV Corps areas. On 31 January 1971 LTC Schmitz passed command to LTC Albert A. Ackerman. |
