        On Saturday, 4 March 1967, PFC Alan Craig Shroyer, age 20, of Muncie, Indiana, was standing guard duty at the Cogido Docks  and ammunition barge site along with SP/4 Rosencranes.

PFC Shroyer had his 45 cal. sidearm unholstered and before returning the pistol to his holster it accidentally discharged fatally wounding him.
