Thirty-eight years later.
The above photograph of Outpost #1, An Xuan Village, was taken in May of 1968.
It's a little hard to tell but it appears that the bridge built by engineers in 1968 (photo left just above school house) is still in use.
According to former PFC Jim Brunotte, B Company, 1968, who visited the village in 1995, when the outpost watch tower was taken down, the bricks were used in the driveway for the village school that is still standing and in use. |
