Photo G0351: Sleeping quarters for the troops of the 720th MP Battalion aboard the troop ship USNS Daniel I. Sultan during their transport from Oakland, California to South Vietnam in early October 1966. The racks were stacked four high on each side, the top rack held their duffel and TAT bags. The middle rack on the right belonged to SP/4 Allan M. Portnoy of B Company. Inspection was held every day and the bunks had to be tight enough to bounce a quarter on. Courtesy of SP/4 Allan M.
