Photo G3593: Bunker in the compound of the 212th MP Company (Sentry Dog), 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade, on Long Binh Post, in Bien Hoa Province, Military Region III, Vietnam in the summer of 1969. After the 23 February 1969 enemy Post Tet attack of Long Binh Post an upgrade program was initiated under orders of MACV to strengthen defenses against rocket and mortar attacks. Because the poly sandbags quickly deteriorated in the sun and humidity, some units began stuccoing them with cement to prolong their lifespan. Courtesy of SP/4 M.
