"Frenchie" worked in the local Popular Forces Platoon in the Village of Long Binh Tan, Vietnam. In 1968 under Operation STABILIZE he was assigned as a scout and interpreter to the 720th MP Battalion, Ambush Teams. "Frenchie" was the eldest PF assigned to scout interpreter duties under Operation STABLILZE. He was a Catholic as were most of the Vietnamese that lived in Long Binh Tan Village. Frenchie was a nickname given to him by the PF’s because he fought with the French Forces against the Viet Minh during the First Indochina War. Journal Of CPL Thomas T.
