Me and some of the guy's in my company went to the Bob Hope, USO Show. I can not recall the girl's name but I later saw her again on the soaps.

   We all loved Bob and his shows, I can still see the mass of troops.

   The outdoor theater was cut into the side of a hill at Long Binh Post, the acoustics worked great, you could hear the show good.

   At the end of the show Bob and the girl were singing Silent Night and we all joined in. Then the gravity of the moment hits and you are 12,000 miles from home and away from your family for the first time in your life.

   When I hear Silent Night I am right back there again remembering it all just like it was today.
