LTC Reynolds received command of the Battalion from recently promoted COL Ward B. Waits at Fort Hood, Texas on 6 July 1960. On 10 June 1961 LTC Reynolds passed command of the Battalion to MAJ Baxter Bullock. (Interim Commander) |
LTC Reynolds came to the battalion from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York where he served as a member of the superintendent’s staff. |
He served during World War II in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and Austria. He was with the 7th Infantry Division in Korea during the conflict there. His decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Army Commendation Medal. |
LTC Reynolds holds a Masters Degree from the University of Michigan, and his Army education includes attendance at Infantry School, the Provost Marshal General’s School, and the Command General Staff College. |
