2 September 1946   The Battalion moved from Yokohama to Tokyo to take up MP duties in the city.

        The Battalions first home in Japan was at the first "Camp Burness," an old Japanese civil police academy compound located on L & 48th Streets in the northwestern corner of Tokyo called Nakano.

13 March 1948 The Battalion moved from Camp Burness at L & 48th Streets, Nakano, to a former Japanese Paymasters School at Z & 20th Streets near the Sumida River, downtown Tokyo. That compound would also be named Camp Burness.
