       On 17 June 1966, PFC Ronald Barry Walker, age 20, from Chicago, Illinois, was assigned to harbor security duties on a patrol boat on the Saigon River when he fell overboard and the weight of his equipment and weapon pulled him under in the muddy fast running tidal waters. His body was recovered.
